Spring Birthday Gift Baskets

Those born in the spring have many interesting options available for their gift baskets. Some people try using bath items, while others go for music-themed gifts. Why not try using some of the sights and sounds of the season instead?  Luckily, making spring birthday gift baskets is a lot easier than it sounds! Here is how to make a spring birthday gift basket.

Start out by finding an appropriate spring-themed basket. Easter baskets are an obvious choice and their bright colors and occasional flower patterns are delightful symbols of spring, however, less obvious answers such as a seedling planter or a window flower box would also be appropriate. Do not be shy about getting creative! Some of the most lovely spring birthday gift baskets have been made out of some very unlikely containers. When all else fails, hot gluing some silk spring flowers to the handle or using stencils to paint on spring-themed designs can turn any normal basket into a spring basket.

Once you have the basket ready to fill, try adding in things that you think they would enjoy that also are symbols of the spring. Seeds of flowers or vegetables  for spring planting along with gardening gloves and a small trowel are perfect for those who love gardening or enjoy fresh flowers. The playful among us might be appreciative of a butterfly house with a catching net and a bottle of bubble solution instead. Using the basket to tie the theme together is a key secret to success here! Spring planters filled with all the things needed to start a garden will make nicer spring birthday gift baskets than an Easter basket filled with the very same items.

Once the basket has been filled with one large item and several, smaller supporting items, it is time to decorate it for gifting. Silk flowers are an obvious choice in this theme, however, a wreath of silk flowers placed around the basket not only is a decoration for the gifts, it also can become a household decoration for after the birthday is over. Large bows in bright colors are always a good answer. Tie the ribbons around the birthday gift baskets or simply add a large bow to the largest item in the basket for a colorful effect. For a simple effect, try using shrink wrap at home. All you need is a hair dryer to make it work!
