Fall Birthday Gift Baskets

Fall is a time of wondrous changes. The leaves turn from green to bright gold, orange, and red, the fruits and vegetables finish ripening and are ready to eat, and the world is ready to greet a few new lives into the world. Those born in the fall are especially lucky as they can have fall birthday gift baskets made just for them! Here is how to make fall birthday gift baskets for your special ones.

Start out by finding out their favorite things about the fall. There are many things that are going on during the fall, which gives a wide variety of options of themes for birthday gift baskets. Do they just love watching the leaves change colors? Perhaps they are looking forward to delicious autumn foods like pumpkin pie and maple sugar candies instead?

From there, select an appropriately themed basket or other item holder. A basket made of grape vines, a bucket with fall coloring, or a basket with falling leaf print are all very appropriate to the season. Of course, you can also decorate a basket to meet your needs. Silk versions of colorful autumn leaves can be woven into the basket edges or attached to the basket via hot glue. Gold, brown, and orange ribbons and autumn flowers are also good options for turning plain baskets into lovely autumn birthday gift baskets.

Once the basket has been selected, it is just a matter of filling it! It usually works out the best if you select one large gift, then add in a bunch of filler items to help round out the gift. For example, if your special someone is looking forward to the tastes of autumn, a bottle of wine with an opener, some maple sugar candies pressed into the shapes of maple leaves, and a fall-print table cloth are all very nice gifts. In this case, the wine will most likely be the “big” gift, though the maple candies may also count if they are the expensive 100% maple variety.

The finishing touches are the easiest part. Simply tie a large bow around the biggest gift for some quick color. Another decorating option is to arrange some fall themed silk flowers or leaves around the gifts for a little color.  Once the decorations have been added, any fall birthday gift baskets you have created are ready to be given to your lucky someone!
